How it works

  1. We read every announcement

The Pentagon's 5 p.m. contract list, SAM.gov award notices and USAspending.gov, every day.

  2. We match the winner to its stock

Subsidiaries like Electric Boat or Sikorsky map to their listed parent. Each award is sized against the company's latest annual revenue from SEC filings.

  3. You get the ones that matter

Watchlist alerts the moment an award lands, or a weekly roundup of the biggest wins — with a link to the official source.

Questions

Where does the data come from?
The Department of War's daily contract announcements (every business day at 5 p.m. ET, for awards of $7.5 million or more), SAM.gov award notices and USAspending.gov. Company revenue comes from annual reports filed with the SEC. Every award links to its official source. More about our data.
How do you know which stock won the contract?
Awards name the legal entity that won — often a subsidiary like "Electric Boat Corp." or "Kratos Unmanned Aerial Systems Inc." We match those names to their publicly traded parent using a hand-checked list of the companies that regularly win federal work. If we aren't confident, we don't attach a ticker.
What does "% of revenue" mean?
The award's dollar value divided by the company's revenue for its latest full fiscal year. A $40 million award is noise for a $70 billion prime contractor and a big deal for a $500 million small cap. Contract values are often paid out over several years, and ceiling values may never be fully used — so treat it as a sense of scale, not a forecast.
Is this investment advice?
No. We report public facts about government contracts. We don't tell anyone to buy or sell anything, and an award doesn't mean a stock will move. Do your own research and verify details with the official source.
Why do some awards say "shared ceiling"?
Multiple-award contracts let several companies compete for orders up to a combined maximum. Each company listed may win much less than the headline number — or nothing — so we don't calculate a revenue share for them or add them to dollar totals.
Can I cancel Pro any time?
Yes. Manage billing from the link in any alert email. If you cancel, you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for, then drop back to the free weekly roundup.
