Rows of statues line the hall, and each has its face chiseled away. Faint chanting rises and falls behind the walls.
Setup. Four shadows led by a specter are keeping a silent vigil over a grave that has been dug up from the inside.
Terrain
- Collapsing ceiling: a creature can pull the loose lever to drop the ceiling on a 10-foot square: DC 11 Dexterity saving throw or 2d6 Bludgeoning damage.
- Portcullis: a lever (Utilize action) drops or raises the portcullis, splitting the room in two.
Tactics. They target whoever carries light or holy symbols first.
Twist. The creatures are illusions masking a single real threat among them.
Adjust on the fly
- Easier: Remove one shadow (−100 XP).
- Harder: Add one more shadow (700 XP total, high for this party).
